The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun, Cancun

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, though spacious, faced the parking lot and lacked privacy due to their ground floor location with guests passing by outside. On the upside, the rooms were huge, but they missed the mark on coziness and warmth. The service was disheartening as we were rudely asked to leave the pool area despite the adjacent sports bar remaining open, and the staff offered no solution even though we had chosen the hotel for its spa amenities. The location, while isolated, was convenient for a brief stop after a tiring flight. As for the dining, the options were extensive but unfortunately, the food quality was subpar.

I stayed at the hotel for a wonderful time. The rooms, though a bit old and in need of cleaning, came with free breakfast & cocktails, which was a nice touch. The service was generally very nice and attentive, particularly when helping us find activities. The location, while a bit far from restaurants and shopping, was great as it offered a semi-private beach experience. The dining options were good for both vegans and non-vegans. Overall, a mixed but memorable experience.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the bottle of champagne waiting for us in a beautifully decorated bedroom. The staff at check-in was efficient, and we found our room to be very clean after a day of sightseeing. The only downside was that our room had no view of the lagoon, only the parking area.

Overall, the hotel provides some great features and some areas that could use improvement.

The hotel's rooms were in fantastic condition, providing a great stay overall. Despite the need for repairs and lack of other guests around, my experience was still enjoyable. However, the quality seemed lacking compared to previous visits.
